Pronounced ALLEY-YUM, it’s our best seller by-the-pound. “Allium” is the onion genus, and this stuff’s the yummiest, freshest, brightest onion salt you’ll ever eat. We’ve been told it even gets kids to eat their veggies :)
Try Alliyum on eggs, chicken, pork, fish, or steak (1 tsp per pound or to taste), tofu, potatoes, grans and pasta, stir-fries, greens, salads (we dress our greens with straight-up Alliyum and a splash of lemon instead of gloppy, shiny salad dressings), dips and spreads (1 tsp in 8 ozs of sour cream or yogurt). In spring and summer, we add wild (responsibly) foraged ramps.

Saltlickers makes herb and spice-infused artisanal salts and finishing sugars with no preservatives, MSG, or dairy in anything we make. All our flavors are soy and wheat-free except Herky Perky.
The business was born back in 2011, when Jen made her own spice blends as holiday gifts in her tiny Brooklyn apartment with a Nesco Snackmaster. She hooked up with Collin, moved to central Iowa, and the biz took off. We’re headquartered in NEVADA, IOWA, where the party's hard to start, but once you do, look out!
All the blends homemade from our unique recipes. Some ingredients we grow, some we dry. We have 20* (as of 5/12/20) flavors and gift boxes for any taste. We also create custom blends for special occasions.
