A lovely balance of sweet and savory; traditionally spiced with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Think of a cool, crisp fall day, sitting outside with a warm cup of apple cider (a toddy maybe), and a bag of warm, fresh donuts. It's cool enough that you need a light coat, but warm enough sitting in the sun that you can still be comfortable if you took it off; meanwhile you're surrounded by the scent of cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg; birds chirping... It's all that in a jar. Keep it simple and spread it on toast; use it to finish a pork loin or chicken thighs; blend with cream cheese for an easy party dip.
Red Wine Cranberry Sauce
We humbly present our Red Wine Cranberry Sauce. The newest seasonal favorite, we are so excited to be part of your holidays this year as an alternative topping for your delightful holiday Turkey or Spiral ham. Our version is from scratch with fresh cranberries and a heavy dose of red wine. This cranberry sauce has depth of flavor that far exceeds what the aluminum cans of past have to offer (with respect). We can’t wait for you to try it and introduce your friends and family to one of the few locally made cranberry sauce in the Midwest!
Rosemary Fig Spread
The sweetness of figs, balanced with herbaceous notes of rosemary, with the addition of winter, warming spices, this spread is a perennial fan favorite! A low-sugar added product, this is great to use on your favorite cheese board or grilled cheese sandwich. Try it on a flatbread with some tangy cheese or as a glaze for pork or chicken or make thumbprint cookies! For a real show-stopper, spread on top of wheel of brie, wrap in puff pastry and bake. Developed from a mutual love of canning and preserving, we created Kansas City Canning Co. to forge a modern approach to the craft of food preservation. Each jar is hand-packed, hand-labeled and hand-batched in methods which require tender care and time- we hope you can taste our commitment to the craft in each of our products.
