Experience the Flavor of Local & Sustainable Farming

Join some of Des Moines’ best chefs for a culinary experience at the Farm. The chefs will curate meals that feature products sold at the DUG FarmStand.

Enjoy food, and drink, with friends & family while experiencing our sustainable urban farm.

The festivities begin at 5:00 pm with social-time to drink and mingle. At 5:30 owners Jenny & Eric will give a farm tour, discuss what is growing, and answer any questions you may have about the farm.

Dinner will be served at 6:30 outside in the DUG green-space.

We love hosting some of Des Moines’ greatest chefs in our commercial kitchen.  During our dinners, the chefs create some of the finest meals featuring seasonal and fresh ingredients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Typically the dinners are outside in our green space.  As long as there is no significant strong weather or precipitation we do hold the dinners outside.  Please plan your wardrobe accordingly.  IF the weather is so bad that we can not be outside we can still host the event inside the DUG FarmStand.

Tickets to the dinners are nonrefundable, but we also want to work with you and accommodate if something goes wrong.  If you know ahead of time that you are unable to attend, please let us know ASAP.  If we have a waiting list we will try to fill your spot and get you your money back.  You can also send a friend in your place if you can not attend!

We typically line up our chefs/dates of the dinners in the winter and launch the dinners in late February.  The best way to stay up to date with dinner details is to be sure to join our mailing list.  We release that information to our email subscribers first.

Chefs are willing to make dietary changes, BUT they need to know ahead of time.  Please communicate with us at least a week in advance, so the chefs can plan accordingly.
